Jay-Dee Cafe in Alhambra

Was my birthday last night ,so we thought to stop and have a drink after a great dinner. Walked in and of course there are regulars hanging out. Music was great! The bartender was very rude and was disgusted when we would ask for if they made a drink. Oh they ran out of coke! What kinda bar runs out coke for Jack n coke? Wow! Other then bartender the place is very cool enjoyed the drink and music.

It's one of those Gin Mill bars that are from the 70s that your dad used to take you to, they're looking for a cook short order. Pool tables, two dart boards, table's, booths, with plenty to drink, a variety of beer's, and lots of parking in the back!! Come give it a visit sit down have a beer or a cocktail throw some darts, shoot some pool, pick some songs on the jukebox...dollar for three songs meet with the locals and have a few laughs with some REAL nice bartender's Philip and Terri and memories too. They're open from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday to Sunday... Oh, leave your leather vest at home or you won't be served!!

Good atmosphere and good prices, but the food was the star of this show! Dude in back is making some incredible stuff at great prices. The torta Cubana was amazing! The burger was incredible! Chumichurri fries??? Oh hell yes!!Come for the drinks, stay for the food!!!

Pretty cool little dive bar. Generally an older crowd. Cheap drinks and a good, if limited, kitchen. This is a local neighborhood bar, not some trendy spot in dtla, so bear that in mind when you come in. One of my favorite spots. This is a cash only bar, but they have an atm. Definitely a good spot to have some brews and watch the game.

Last Sunday I called them to see if they would show a soccer game and they were accommodating to me. I got there and the bartender proceeded to find the channel and put the game. It was also karaoke night and people were singing away so that was a good vibe to the place.

Great outdoor patio...for weekend football games...great breakfast prices....bjt they need to add jam!! I only go to the outside area. But heard there is a great coed dart weekly competition....there are a few pool sharks. Careful on yr bets!

Came here for a drink and an appetizer since the pictures on Yelp looked appetizing. Food menu was limited to about 4 items on their menu board. I ordered the JD burger which was supposed to come with fries but the cook informed me there were no fries so he discounted the burger which was cool. The burger was simple but good. Pretty big spot for a dive bar with plenty of seating, pool table, juke box and dart boards. Overall chill place to grab a drink and lay low for a bit.

Jay-Dee Cafe is opening the restraunt again! So looking forward to seeing how this new chef works out! So far only heard good things about it so give them a call who knows might be the next big foodie stop.

Very fun place. The juke box has a variety of music styles to choose from any song chosen you will like. You can dance by the juke or play pool or darts. Very nostalgic place including an old Superman phone booth. Smoking in the back patio you can hang out there even in the rain since it's covered. Gotta get a seat by the end of the bar where the locals gather. If you're having a bad day the conversation will definitely raise your spirits. Worth a stop in. DJ and band are great Karaoke is great with a variety of songs to choose from. After writing this review I have to go back again.

Cools dive bar small with a 50's feel to it

All around good dive bar. Decent food. Not expensive.

Unfriendly bartender, maybe he was just having a bad morning. Went for breakfast but the kitchen was closed.

We arrived at this place for lunch. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. we highly recommend this place.

Good old dive bar where everyone knows ur name. Check for live band night. Great music all the time

I was feeling adventurous that particular Friday, so as I was choosing between the Silk Road and some other cocktail, I told the waitress to surprise me. I was given the Silk Road as it's one of their most popular drinks, but I gotta say, it was weird!! The consistency was thick, the blend of the Asian flavors might be something I want in a food item but certainly not in my drink. Oh well, I'd still come back to try some of their other, less weird concoctions. Prices are ~$14 per cocktail.

My Aunts salon was few doors down from JD. I know there food They have a good breakfast too after the walk of shame. Where the old pharmacy was my uncle had a store same area Gift city patio is cool take a break from the day enjoy a drink And take something home to pump on.

It's a good dive bar and drinks are cheap but it's CASH ONLY. kitchen is open again and food is a little better but it runs separately from the bar and is also CASH ONLY. There's a group of regulars that hang out there and most of them are pretty cool but every once in a while there's one or two that don't like new people coming to their bar.

We arrived at this place for lunch. my friend recommended this place. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
